Tony, read all of the threads in this section:

NeoVVL Guides - SR20 Forum

From that link above, this is the Bare Absolute Minimum VE thread:

The Bare Absolute MINIMUM... - SR20 Forum

Now go here, to our Forum Manifesto (at the top of every single section for a reason) and read three sections, Engine Swap Information, RPM Activated Switches, and Variable Valve Lift. All of which have multiple threads.

http://www.sr20-forum.com/global-stickies/57272-sr20-forum-manifesto.html

Once you have read all of the above, then come back and ask any further questions you may have. Right now you don't know enough to ask about what you don't know. ...

ReSearch is your friend.

The JWT will not control the VVL. There wasnt much if any harness cutting. The only thing people do cut is one of the plugs on the IACV. I simply swapped the solenoid on the IACV and didnt have to cut or extend wires. Look into getting an MSD 8696 window switch. Summit and jegs also sell there in house brand window switches for around 60 bucks. Swap itself is just the same as swapping in a new DE, you just have to add some things. Dont forget to loctite the TB screws!

Here's a guess, if you want it to run strong with some good aftermarket parts:

SR20VE motor $750-900

ECU tuning - $200

Good header (JMR or something with a 3" outlet) - used - $400 - new - $700

3" cat-back exhaust - $200-$600 depending on the muffler (Dynomax is only $75)

Intake - if you have a highport DE you'll need a lowport intake, so another $50-$200 depending on if you get a bunch of autozone parts or a real one

Stronger clutch - $200-300

MSD window switch or something - $100-$150

Random other stuff, assume like $100

So it could go anywhere from like $1,500 to like $2,500 depending on what kind of power you want
