If you use the Nissan AFPR it just replaces the factory FPR and bolts in to the driver's side end of the fuel rail. The hoses stay the same. Add a fuel pressure gauge to the incoming line (the line that feeds the passenger-side end) of the rail. You may have to bend the AFPR pipe that connects to the fuel tank return hose to make it work on a VE (I can't remember if it needs to be bent for DE or VE or both).

Nissan AFPR is available from G-Spec (Nismo Fuel Pressure Regulator 4cyl, Nismo Fuel Pressure Regulator Adjustable to 10Ka/L/h with a 250m/sec flow rate. Stanza 1990-1992, Altima 1993-2001, Sentra w/2.0L engine 1991-1994 & 1998-2001, NX2000 1991-1993, 200SX w/ 2.0L engine 1995-1998, Pick) and the cost has gone up to $150, apparently. Generic after-market AFPRs are available but I have no experience with them.

He already answered your question.

Regulator line = return line
Feed line (filter) = fuel rail

what else do you need?
