Keep the cams at 0'0. We have done this countless times. A buddy of mine had a fully bolted VE with the cams at +5 -5. The car felt weak and was not running to potential at all. Once cams were set to 0'0 and a couple of pulls on the dyno it made 214whp.

even @ -7 there should be room left to advance the ign. timing. i'd check the cam installation.

Well just thought i would update this thread, the place i first went to assured me nothing else could be done and playing with the cam gears would have me leaving with less power which i knew was not right.

Here is how it should have been in the first place.

^X2. Never know true gains until you hit the same dyno. Thats just my opinion though.

I don't understand why i would need to go back to the first dyno to see " true gains "
as it was dynoed before and after being adjusted whilst i was on-site, the gains are right there and quite significant as you can see.

The difference in power between dynos was only minimum, 114.9 on the first dyno and 116.2 on the second.

I also compared to .bin files and realized that the timing was WAY off on the first tune.

Your saying that second graph shows RUN 1 +5/-5 and RUN 2 0/0? If that's the case then yea your right no reason going back. Looks good, night and day!

The first graph was the difference between stock VE cams with tune VS N1 cams with tune, total gain of 3.2KW and ran identical to the stock cams apart from the power coming on earlier. This is when the cam settings were "apparently" +12,-7. I had the new workshop measure this, and it was actually +11,-4 so they couldn't even give me that information correctly.

The second graph was a dyno of the same settings and the new settings, different shop and tuner(who is renowned to be an insane VE tuner) and the final figure was achieved with +4 IN, -2 EX in the end for the final figure, other figure is the mess up from the other people.

Well then in that case I also agree. Id make a run on the olther dyno aswell just so you can actually have a decent comparison.
