Thread: LOST My VVL Cam Caps...

hey as the topic states... what would you do if you cant find the correct cam caps for the head?

basically toss it.

You have to find someone with a no good VVL head get the cam caps from that head, have the caps put on the head and then get it line bored at a machine shop.

You will need to know the factory clearance which you can get from the original head or a FSM.

Yep, like Miko said the heads and caps are line bored specificly for each head and without the caps from that same head you have to have it machined. Its like losing the main caps.

Your probably better off just getting a new head by the time its all said and done you will have spent almost as much and hope that it comes out right or just get a new one and have the piece of mind.

dont get this statement... but thanks alot guys... theyre looking for the caps as we speak so i hope they find them...

backstory, the previous owner of the head put it aside due lack of funding... i took it from him without noticing there was no cam caps... if he doesnt find them ill just have to give it back to him... no sweat
