Stock SR20VE CR 11.0:1?
I'm doing some research on Nissan Primera Camino 2.0 TE-V's, and am seeing a ton of sites saying the Compression ratio is 11.0.

Nope that's regular VE's. 20V is 2001-2003 P12's

the 20v is rated as 11:1 cr. the design of the combusition chamber is the same. the 20v piston has a thinner dish n the ring sits higher on the piston. i doubt sr20ve pistons cant be 11:1

yea, that wouldn't make much sense because the 20ve an 9.5 DE pistons have the same dish Except the ve has valve reliefs cut into them, the 20v is close to or flat like the 10:1 de pistons but again has valve reliefs cut into them

I've read before that there is variation in VEs depending on the year (regular 97-01 20ves). We used to all(most of us) think that VEs were 11:1 across the board. I don't doubt that some of them are diffeent but I also wouldn't know either way.

I think we have clarity that they are 10.3 or 10.4;1 whatever it is but maybe some of the early ones were 11. Nissan has a history of releasing a crazy raw brutal product and watering it down over the course of a production run.

Thats just speculation on my part but I have heard the rumours Vadim is hitting on.

well think about how many people have torn down these motors.. anyone see different pistons then the norm? not that i seen..

not to mention, dont you think GregV would have come accross these? since he can get all the other ones, i dont see why he couldn't get these unicorns if they exist..

if theres a difference in compression its gotta be in the head i think.

that's a p11. not 11:1

according to a well informed source, nissan normally state higher cr in their spec

the sr20ve (posted in first post here) is about 10.2:1

i always use this site and think that the first gen sr20ve is 11:1. directory.net

notice these are cars with first gen sr20ve, yet the cr is rated @ 11:1

I don't think that I would trust those^ links, lol..... They list the compression ratio as 11, hahaha.... That is not a ratio, it is a random number
