this is really disappointing to me, one because i have run in the 12s with less mph and for the fact that once i get the car hooking like it needs to be the ****ing axles give out... i would like to know what the high rpm NA guys do about this?
This is on the 2-step? What RPM? I'd love to see an in car on how you are staging.

it depends, its not the splines, its just somewhere in the middle along the shaft, sometimes the pass side, sometimes the driver side.

yea this is with the 2step. i started the day out at high 6k range and slowly worked it up as i dropped psi in the slicks as i was only getting 2.0 60tfs. when it broke i was launching at 7.7k and 13psi.

i guess it must be that im not pre loading the car hard enough. i get to the line and get the clutch right to the friction point, then on the first yellow light i let it out a little more and hit the gas to get the revs up, on the third yellow let the clutch out and drop the ebrake....

Have you thought about trying a drag radial over a slick? I am in the same boat with my B15 transmission and trying to stay in 3rd when I cross the traps. I have had great 60ft. times with mt 205/50-14 drag radials but I know I need something taller. I think I'm just going to try running a taller drag radial as opposed to a slick so I don't have as much stress on the driveline.

I normally run 8-10 psi max cold tire and goes to 10-12 hot which usually nets 1.6-1.8 60 ft..Also a trick is i use is run 8-psi on one tire and 9 psi on other cold and that's where the car is at its best, i got low 1.6 60 ft .You might not trap 105-107 mph with that psi but you run way faster times .I never had axel problems with that psi Raxels or oem...

Don't let the opinions of the average man sway you. Dream, and he thinks you're crazy. Succeed, and he thinks you're lucky. Acquire wealth, and he thinks you're greedy. Pay no attention. He simply doesn't understand.

wow thats crazy low, i would bog like a mo fo if i dropped it that low. how high are you launching with the low of psi? and i dont know really from testing this, but i didnt think the psi should change the traps, because the slicks should inflate and grow when you up to speed, so not changing the dia.think there is any truth to that
