it depends, its not the splines, its just somewhere in the middle along the shaft, sometimes the pass side,sometimes the driver side.

Have you thought about trying a drag radial over a slick? I am in the same boat with my B15 transmission and trying to stay in 3rd when I cross the traps. I have had great 60ft. times with mt 205/50-14 drag radials but I know I need something taller. I think I'm just going to try running a taller drag radial as opposed to a slick so I don't have as much stress on the driveline.

I normally run 8-10 psi max cold tire and goes to 10-12 hot which usually nets 1.6-1.8 60 ft..Also a trick is i use is run 8-psi on one tire and 9 psi on other cold and that's where the car is at its best, i got low 1.6 60 ft .You might not trap 105-107 mph with that psi but you run way faster times
