VE block on rwd trans?
My friends tell me the bolt pattern on the FWD sr20 blocks are different than the RWD blocks and will not fit on the RWD trans. I need to find out for sure because I'm thinking of doing this swap VVL in a Mazda.

correct. They are different. The bolt spacing for the top two bolts is 150mm (6") on FWD and 200mm (8") on RWD. It won't bolt up.

Your better off putting the VVL head on a RWD DET block

I doubt I could do this, but could I swap the FWD bell housing onto the RWD trans?

agreed!!!

its sounds like alot of work putting a vvl cylinder head on a rear wheel drive block but its more work f**king around with a front wheel drive block in a rear wheel drive setup
it can be done, any thing can be done but is it reali worth it when there is an eazyer option??
