If you buy the whole set, why not use the whole set. That's what I'm going to do. Anything to help get a degree down. I got my set from the group buy.
Because the one at the head does the most for heat transfer, the spacer between the runners/plenum really doesn't do anything but lengthen the runners. It's up to you, put all three on there if you want. My plenum spacer has been sitting in the box for two years for that reason, the other two are installed.

that makes sense...but the ting is doesnt extending the runners make more torque.....so using it may be a plus.....the next thing is taking the intake of the head will this cause the head to get hotter as the heat exchanging that is done will no longer happen there and the heat will have to find somewhere else to be removed.....i have a theory but let me hear ur views.....i dont expect that the gains will be high...maybe as see by advertising they might give 4whp more...dont think u will feel that but its na so any power that we can find will work if ur serious about it......my thing is if u spend 130 dollars on 4whp and u X that by 3 u would have 390 dollars. now if u where to use that and buy a flywheel like most ppl here it wouldnt allow u to see 12whp would it...mine didnt so for the cost to whp i say it would make some sense.....

Always a good idea to listen to Miko. Guy knows more about these motors than any 50 of us put together. Call or email the thermoblock folks, they don't list them but they're happy to cut them for the VE; they did for me couple years ago when I put her together. Probably helps keep things cooler, couldn't tell you whether a hp difference, as didn't dyno before/after.
'93 classic, VE and a few suspension and brake bits.
