Getting Idle hang or bouncing idle when taken out of gear with nismotronics
first off the car has a brand new IACV the one under the air intake manifold.

when you start the car it goes througth the whole 1500rpm warm up down to 900rpm, HOWEVER once warmed up lets say you are driving and you take the car out of neutral the idle might hang at say 1500-2k bounce a bit and then eventually it will go to 1k and back to 900rpm

i am coming from aem ems, i know nothing about nismotronics it was suggested by the tuner shop i went to so i went with it, the car had a bunch of wiring bugs, clogged injector/not working, the aem ems went bad so i went to nismotronics given the cost expense i had to pay for, for all the wiring, shop time, dyno time, ect ect ect.

the car runs pretty good, it made 326whp and 318wtq @ 18lbs

i am just having this dreaded idle issue.

i bled the coolant system there was some air in there, there isnt anymore.

im thinking this could be a tuning aac issue or something along those lines

i havent touched anything given the fact i just got the car back from the shop/tuner.

i am also getting jerking at low idle speeds say when the throttle is almost shut or driving at like 5mph

i would like to be able to creep with this car without jerking about and it being smooth

i would also like to be able to take it out of gear and it go straight back down to 900rpm like stock and not bounce around from 2k back to 900

The normal function of the ecu is to have the engine idle up as you are coming to a stop. This keeps the car from crapping out all the sudden. It takes use of the tps sensor, clutch enable sensor, the pnp sensor and the gear table used by nemu to determine what gear you are in. The four have to be in sync in order to function properly. Try to do a data log and upload it here or to John. This can also cause low rpm issues you also stated. It takes some fine tuning on sensor parameters and you will get the hang of it over time. I would start with resetting your tps and taking a look at the open/close and close/open delta settings.

This is an issue that can be dialed out. I have been working on mine and it is now gone, it just takes some time to get it dialed in. You need to look a the Idle tab, this is where the IACV functions are. John is a great resource for this. If you upload your tune I can take a look and give you some suggestions.

The problem is it hangs there at say 2k then it bounces down to 1500 then slowly goes down to 900rpm. It doesn't feel like it should act like that I understand what you are saying but it just seems unnatural. It's too high and shouldn't bounce around like that.

With the adjustment of the tips do I have to get the ecumenical into into any kind of mode or can I do adjustments from my laptop in the software?

I paid $2,200 to get this car fixed and tune and it shouldn't do this. Should be able to take it out of gear and it maybe do that but nowhere near that. If at all its bs?

You need to also make sure the AFRs are nice and smooth near your idle. This made the biggest impact on the idle quality.

Can I get someone's email and I will send you the TCd and you could look at it?

subscribed. i'm n/a and have exactly the same issues. once the issue happens, if your doing like 30-50mph, you can put your foot on the clutch and off the accelerator and coast down the road, and it will bounce between 900 to 1500/1800 continually. once once the car is stopped, it will eventually settle down.

john is helping with mine atm.

how could bleeding the coolant system help with this? do you have a q45 t/b?
