Calum Basic ECU- Launch Control problem
I tried to find what I could on my own and in the forum and here I am. 91 sentra, sr20ve, n60 maf stock inj's. A while back I was using stock b13 maf and a bin on the ecu without launch control. I decided to swap the maf in and had to change bins accordingly. All went smooth except the launch control. Capping my rpm at 4500 all the time, all gears.

I replaced the neutral position sensor, checked continuity on the sensor closed and open. Checked the wire to the ecu from the plug. Checked the factory ground and tried running my own off of it as a trial. Even tried to jumper the plug. No matter what dead locked rpm max at 4500 all gears and neutral. Stumped.

Since I don't need the launch control, how can I remove it? Or does someone have a VE, stock inj, n60 maf b13 bin that doesn't have LC.

This sounds more like an issue of the ECU not getting speed signal.. do you have a consult cable that you can verify your sensor input with?

I don't. I also have a cable driven speedometer. I should probably buy the cable though.

put back the b13 maf and the original file then try the launch control ....this way you will eliminate any possibly of this being a file issue

I would agree, your ECU is not getting a VSS signal.

I had a similar problem with my ECU, ended up setting launch control over 8.000 rpm to get rid of the problem

ensure the signal wire from your speedo is connected to the ecu... even if your speedo cable isnt connected.

If your speedo cable is not connected, the ecu will assume the car is not moving and launch control will be active all the time. The cable controls the speedo, the speedo outputs a signal thru a wire to the ecu.

It's almost got to be VSS related. Not likely related to the neutral switch.

Slightly deviating from topic, but does anyone know what changed are necessary in the bin and xdf to setup launch control?

Thanks for the input guys and I do believe you are right about the speedo cable causing the issue because I did try the b13 maf and a LC setup before switching mafs and i recall having the problem back then as well so I switched back to a no LC bin. I assumed it was my lack of neutral position sensor as the wires were broken in the past and i replaced the sensor this time. I havent had a speedo cable for years. I cant find one and the nissan dealerships around here look at me like im a retard when I tell them my car has a speedo cable. Anyone know where I could score one?
