The address listed in the above linked web page for TP MSB for the SR20DET is definitely incorrect. Also, there are a number of problems using this method to log and map trace with one TP value. The ECU calculates a TP value based on the MAF sensor, RPM, and K constant, however this is not necessarily the TP used with the fuel and/or timing maps. Under certain conditions, TP comes from either the TPMin or TPMax tables. Depending on your particular bin, the TP used for the fuel map comes from a table based on throttle position, however this is not the same value reported. The TP used for the timing map can be different from the TP used for the fuel map. Also, under certain conditions, the actual timing comes from a different table, based only on RPM, and the timing map is not used at all. Transient throttle conditions also modify the calculated value of TP. What this means is that the TP value logged using this method for map tracing can be erroneous and/or misleading. It can be at best frustrating, and at worst dangerous, to tune the fuel and timing maps like this.

One reason TunerCode was written was to resolve all of these issues and data log all of the information necessary to tune efficiently and correctly without guess-work.

Cheers,
Dave

when you say this, how come it changes position when load (AC on, fan ON, lights ON,etc) changes even without changing the TPS or the throttle? i dont understand what u mean that it could be misleading.
