Ah yes, I was typing that up before you posted your two timing comparison hehe

I would play around with it, but be careful and listen to knock. I think a knock light is just as important as a Wideband when tuning. I'm highly thinking about getting one.

Also, if you have NDS, you can do a map trace, that will show you on which part of map you are. I noticed with the raised TP, I didn't hit the last column until I had enough load (RPM and Airflow), but in which case I updated the columns right before to have a more linear power curve. So with NDS technically you should be able to monitor if for any reason your TP lowers.

Dave, do you know what address does the knock sensor run at? Using NDS you could possibly monitor for knock if you know the address.

Knock is one of the many items logged by TunerCode. Have a look at the list of features at TunerCode.com and check the list of logged items in the TunerProV5 screen shot.

Cool i'm using the new tunerproV5. I see in your screen shot the knock voltage and count. If you get a little knock would you see it pull the timing in a datalog.

Nice! Something else to look forward to

Now as for tuner Pro V5, is that a feature in there by default, or something that TunerCode will add on to it? I tried using V5, and not too happy with the new changes, plus I just bought v4 about a month before, seems like the key doesn't work on 5...

EDIT: Just noticed you have mentioned TunerCode is firmware. I thought it was Firmware + additional software, but that makes sense now.

Yes, see "Knock Timing Adjustment" under "Ignition Values" in the item list. There is also a "History Table" (not shown in the screen shot) defined to log knock count in a map based on load and rpm. You can modify that History Table to log knock timing adjustment, or add another History Table in TunerPro to log knock timing adjustment in a map of its own.

"TunerCode" is a complete package that includes a bin file (the firmware), a TPV5 XDF for real-time tuning, a TPV5 ADX for controlling the logging, and documentation on how it all works. (Be prepared to "relearn" some things about Nissan ECUs) So to answer your question, TunerCode adds the logging capability to TunerPro V5 via the ADX definition file.

There is any software that we can log knock on non realtime's ECU's via the consult plug with a software like NDS? That give you knock in term of knock counts on a data log sesion??
For those of us that don't have realtime ECU's...
Thanks..

Yes, a TunerCode bin can run on a basic daughter board too. You can order TunerCode (soon), which comes with everything you need to log using TunerProV5, and you just burn your chips with the TunerCode bin. It uses the Consult port, but utilizes a custom protocol for logging.

Let me see if i get it I buy your Tuner Code package (how much) then create a bin using your firmware then use Tuner Pro V5 to data log with the consult cable?? Ho do I create the custom protocol for logging using Tuner Pro V5??
