Default A good road racing brake setup?

With 2 track events under my belt now, I plan to do more this year including the SERCA convention so I'm looking into upgrading my brake system.

Currently I have NX brakes and stock rears with the stock M/C on my 94 B13 with ABS. I have Axxis Ultimate pads as well. It stops good, but I know it can stop better.

So I'm thinking about this:
-NX2000 front brakes
- BHP CR6 front brake pads
-stock rear brakes
-Axxis Ultimate rear brake pads
-Stainless steel lines all around
-Brembo blank rotors all around
-Stock M/C

Question is should I upgrade to a NX M/C? Should I fork up the money for the maxima conversion? Should I ditch the ABS system?

Any advice would be helpful. Thanks

Ditch ABS, fork up the money for fast brakes front and Maxima rear. Use Altima M/C.

that's $1600. Perhaps I should mention it needs to be on a budget.

Keep the NX2K fronts as is, and upgrade your rears to maxima rears, and use an altima M/C.

IDK about the ABS, though. Sorry I will be of no use/opinion.

In that case, your suggested set-up seems like the best option. In addition to that; yes, swap to NX2k M/C and yes ditch the ABS.

Edit: Maxima rears and Altima M/C is an option as well as TeKKie points out. Utilizing the rear brakes more will give you added stopping power (pretty much the only mod that increases stopping power) instead of just giving fade resistance like all the front brake mods do.

that will also make your car more tail happy when hitting the brakes in a corner. but it could also help it turn better depending on how much the bias changes.

Ok, so I've been looking at what it takes to remove the ABS system. It looks like I need to get:
-NX M/C non-abs
-some non-abs hardlines
-non-abs distribution block on the firewall

Then I can remove the controller and computer thing on the passenger side of the car. Is this all correct? What else is there? Does anyone know the part numbers to these new pieces?

I would not use maxima rears and an altima MC with NX fronts. Too much rear bias.

I can't afford the maxima upgrade anyways. Now I just need to know how to convert from ABS to non-ABS.

Yes. Then you can rip out the ABS computer as well. If you don't want to install new lines mazdatrix sells an abs delete kit for the rx7 that has a m10x1mm tee that you can use to bypass the abs pump. You can buy the tee seperate.

edit: Any Nissan dealer should be able to get you the part numbers, I know the brake lines are surprisingly cheap and were still in production ~1 year ago.
