I finally got around to installing this setup today. I have it set at 3 in front and 5 in rear. Seems a lil bouncy in the front, but very solid. I love the suspension. I took the front sway bar off and now the car handles very neutral. A lil bit of understeer, but it grips well!
What settings should I try out for a smoother ride without blowing the valves to pieces?

Well if I remember correctly... 3 in the front is the stiffest. So you might want to try 4 in the front.
From softest to stiffest in the front its: 1,2,4,3. Currently my DD has AGX's and Road Magnets set at 2 front and 6 rear. I like it.

AGX's run from 1-4 and 1-8, 1 being softest and 4/8 being the stiffest.
One thing i noticed when playing around with my GC's and AGX's is that the rear has to be lowered the same as the front or you get too much weight in the front and the rear seems to drag along. Once i got the rear a little lower it balanced it out and the rear followed. It road better, handled better, and i was able to get the shocks set properly. I now have it at 3F 5R and it is great. I am running 325LB springs in the front and 300R which is a little stiffer than Road Magnets (300F/250R) I would also try a rear sway to go along with your setup. With both front and rear you get a more neutral feel. Basically it comes down to playing around with some things to get it the way you want. Try making the rear a little stiffer. I would try leaving the front and stiffening the rear to see what happens.

Well I would like to try diff sway bar setups, but in reality they don't do anything anymore. I may try one in the rear, but the beam is getting set to 0 in the future. I don't want the car to be too tail-happy. Understeer is easier to control. I like the way the car feels the way it is setup, but it seems like I may need an alignment.
I will be doing the whiteline control arm bushings since they are cheap. I hear they make a night/day difference. What is the spring rate on the B14 hypercos? I have very very little body roll at the limit, the car feels awesome. Today I am going to try full soft and see how she feels. I like the way full-stiff feels, but it doesn't seem to soak up any bumps haha.

I run with 4 up front and 6 in the rear. I have AGX and Roadmagnets as well.

how is 4/8 the stiffest in the rear? so does that mean 5-8 do nothing?

4 is stiffest in front, and 8 is stiffest in rear. That's why he said 4/8 is the stiffest. 4 for the front, 8 for the rear.
I took the car out today to see how she feels. Handles awesome. Really needs better tires. Also it seems like the fronts start making noise sooner than the rear. So it looks like I still need a lil bit of balancing to get a perfect setup. but overall the car feels great, has more grip when the rear is stiff and the fronts are soft. I have them set at 2/8, but I may go with 3/6 later to see how it feels.

Sounds good, I think it is a guessing game. I am no expert but from playing around with my setup i have learned a few things about my car and general characteristics of the B14.

4 is not the stiffest. From what was posted in the past the setting for the front were what I stated above.
1/2/4/3. This info came from many people's results as well as from KYB.

I guess i will spell this out for some people. 4 is full stiff for the FRONT shocks, 8 is full stiff for the REAR shocks. i thought people would get that but i guess not.
Thats funny that KYB says that 1(soft)-4(Hard). ![]() ![]() ![]() Edit: Also when i installed mine i tested this without the springs installed. I put it on each setting and tested how stiff it was and 4 was definitely the stiffest.

Did you get that paper work with yours? And you got yours new or used? I got mine brand new and I didn't get a paper with that at all... That's weird... Well I stand corrected. I always thought it was weird when I wad reading that info before. And that was on NPM a few years back when the Hypercoil gen 2's came out

All 4 shocks came in the boxes with the nuts and the fronts came with little flat head screw drivers.
