Phoenix AZ NEEDED SR20 Honing Torque Plate
Hi everybody! I'm rebuilding my fwd highport sr20det and I'm in need of a Honing/Boring Torque deck plate for my machinist to use. I would prefer to rent one for a week or two, but I am willing to buy for a decent price. Please give me a call, txt or PM. Nick 623.239.2726

If your block isnt sleeved then there is no reason to use a torque plate when doing a bore and hone. Ive done many many SR20 builds that have been bored over and honed and never once was a torque plate ever used. Ring seal was perfect and never had any problems. On sleeved blocks its recommended to keep the sleeves in place during boring and honing but not on a standard block. Although if you get your hands on one to borrow or rent then go for it but I wouldnt waste any decent amount of money buying one or renting one. Mazworx sells them for about 600 bucks i believe.

Most machine shops dont use them on standard blocks.
