you lucky bastard....Id give my right nut (okay just my left one) to land a good job in Ft Worth and camp out in Texas for the next decade or so...

Are you active duty or a contractor...just curious as Yuma and Ft Hood are primarily mil towns

Are you asking me? Im a contractor. Yuma is mainly a military town as well as YPG which is where I worked for almost 5 years and one of the better paying jobs in the area. That and border patrol are probably top jobs in the area. There are your normal city and federal jobs but make up a small portion.

I didnt mind living in Texas, just didnt like how the police make their money off the tickets they write so any time I ever got pulled over I got a ticket no questions asked even for stupid stuff. Stuff that you wouldnt even get pulled over for in Yuma. I like yuma for the fact there is no emissions and no safety inspection and the cops are super chill here. Roll around with open downpipe throwing flames out during small blips and cops could care less.

Since I still have my house in AZ ill probably keep my registration and stuff for my car in AZ for now so at least if i want to take it out to meets I can without too much hassle and dont have to worry about passing inspection because it wont with no wipers, no exhaust, and so on. But its mainly going to be a drag car but still street driveable.

yeah the TX inspection is super cheesy but you MUST HAVE wipers and a working horn and no chips in your windshield lol

Doesnt matter if youre pouring oil down the road lol

Last I remember (early 2000s) there were no emissions in texas....has that changed?

Depends on where your at i believe. Kind of like az. Big cities require emissions while smaller ones dont do anything. Copperas cove, killeen, ft hood dont require emissions but do require inspection. But I believe the big cities require a pretty leinient emissions test but I could be wrong.

lol, We will definitely have to get together before I move though. Maybe have a meet at the strip sometime in May when the car is done and being tested. Hopefully I can hit that 9 second pass in AZ before I leave.
