Help In AZ
Hey guys,

I just moved back to the valley with my SE-R that I picked up in Ohio while I was living there. Love the car, SR20 runs in my veins (ask my dad blusteel), but it is an auto. At any rate I am looking for any help that I can get to get this thing swapped over to a five speed so I can boost it and have some fun. I love to wrench and money is kind of tight but any help or direction or parts would be greatly appreciated. Let me know if you can help with parts or experience. I have a motorcycle to ride when it is warm so the car is going down for the swap soon.

Thanks in advance.

Gunnar

Yo G, give me a buzz. At least we can start to look for parts and see if the info to do the swap is in this forum or the other one. Barrett-Jackson is finally here, we can hook up there.

Sentradude - I appreciate the help. I will let you know when the tear down and install is going to happen.

Bahamas - I think I have the tranny but I still need just about every other mechanical part for the swap. Any suggestions other than the junk yard? SE-R's are scarce in the yards.

i have a g20 obd1 5 speed ecu and jdm 5speed lsd tranny..

the donor car doesnt have to be an se-r. could be a base model sentra or p10. for the linkage i mean. since you already have a tranny.

There was a manual p10 at the junkyard in Mesa that had the shift linkage and stuff if it will work in an se-r. Also, there were a couple sentra's.....one had tsuru badges with mexican tags, xe, and there might have been 1 more there. Pick n pull on extension.
