Thread: Cheap VE's at NAD Auto in GA

I stopped by NAD Auto today as I was in the neighborhood and asked about engines. They let me tour the shop and while I was drooling over the EVO4 and GTR front clips, he told me they had 5 SR20VE's. All are black top, no 20V engines or SR16's. Anyway, he told me they want $800 for each VE!

If I had a truck or a job, I'd buy atleast one perhaps even two! I can't even rebuild a stock SR20DE for that!

Glad they are cheaper up where you are at. That seems to be the going price for one down here. I paid $901 with tax for mine but it was clean and no issues. Plus free delivery. If you got to ship one to get it cheap, unless its free shipping it isnt worth it...

VE's have gone up in price everywhere. Going price is about $800 with further inland importers pricing them at $1000. If you can find one for $700 from an importer I suggest you check it out first and if it's good buy it. Keep in mind most importers are now hip to what they are getting so they now should come with engine harness at a minimum. They also now know trying to sale the CVT afterwards is a PITA so they now try to pass that hunk of crap over to you with a slight mark-up.

The benefit there is avoiding shipping fees for the local GA guys. Also it allows you to take a good look at the engine. I think 800 is a fair price. They were going for 950 previously at the same location.

I get my engines shipped to door for 750 from a guy in VA and I live in GA. Both look 30-40k clean.

I remember when they were like $4000 and def. not local.

Who did you get yours from? Did you buy a pair at once?
