Thread: WTB - SR20 Transmission

Looking for a transmission for my recently acquired '91 SE-R.

The current one has no 5th gear and probably other issues as well.

I need an LSD transmission to swap in the custom diff into.

I missed mine so I am buying another one.

Will the SR16 accept a true diff? I have a custom built one in the car currently.

Also may be interested in a Cusco FSTB if there are any left.

Why not just get the 5th gear pop out kit and drop the diff into your trans?

The issue is not pop out.

5th is gone completely. It will go into 5th but nothing but a box of neutrals at that point.

1st and 2nd are slowly going too. The clutch makes an nice thunk when you let it out and there is a LOT of tranny whine/growl going on as well.

Well, I DO have a SR18 gearstack out of the case. Only has about 45k on it. i picked it up from a friend of mine. If you're interested, let me know. He said the gearing was similar to the B13 trans, which is what he had it in.

Thanks for the offer but I'm hoping the easy button is swapping the diff into a replacement trans.

I have one with 5th gear pop out. Its the original one that came out of my 92. Just sitting in the shop. I plan on taking the switches off cause they are fairly new. I'll go dig up a pic and post it up if you would like.

Scratch that. Its a non lsd.

The SR16 is LSD and will take any diff the SE-R LSD would take.
