who is in knoxville?
my girlfriend goes to school at UT to be a vet. so i come down every few months. just trying to find out who is in the area.

on a side note, any one know if there is a shuttle or something from tys into knoxville? im landing at tys friday night around 11:30pm and my GF is going to be at a party. its a long story but basicly i got the tickets via "name your own price" on price line and my flight leaves MD at 10pm id rather not spend $50 on cab fair..........

I'm in Knoxville. I don't think there are many other active members around here.

Knoxville doesn't have great public transportation to say the least, but there's probably a bus route from the airport to campus. If you do have to get a cab, at least the airport is relatively close to campus. You might even look into a one day car rental.

Anyhow, the bus system is called KAT. I'm sure they have routes and schedules online.

How do you like living in JC Blair?

For the most part it's pretty cool. I miss having my tools and a place to work on my car here, but I'm looking for a solution to that. It's nice living in a smaller town (I came from the second largest city in MI - Grand Rapids) and that makes stress a lot less from traffic alone. I like living in the mountains too but the one thing I miss is Lake Michigan and being only 35 minutes from the beach. Here I'm about 5 hours from Charleston and I believe that is probably the closest beach. We have lakes but nothing like Lake Michigan though.

It's a pretty chill place to live really if you are looking to relocate. Knoxvegas is pretty close if I get bored with the smaller city life

Thanks Blair. I don't have any immediate plans to relocate but when we were down at Deal's Gap this past summer we really liked the area. I wouldn't mind living somewhere in Eastern TN, Western NC, Northern GA, or almost anywhere in SC. After I get some experience working I might try to get a job with the VA and I see they have a hospital in JC which is why I was asking.
