Reminder: Classified ads in the regional sections are not allowed.
Recently it has been brought to my attention that there are a lot of threads in the regional classified sections skirting the rules for selling.
I have deleted any for sale threads I've come across after some were reported to me, and I've locked any "wanted" threads. I apologize for what seems like a change in enforcement. It is a failing on our part that we simply didn't notice these threads. Enforcement hasn't changed, visibility has. Threads weren't being reported, and they weren't being noticed. That is what has changed.
If your thread was deleted or locked, as always, please get with me or another staff member for help on how to repost in the classifieds section. We can recover deleted content for you so you don't have to re-create your sale listing if you'd like to re-use what you had before.
I'd like to remind everyone that as of the classified crack-down of 2010, posting classified ads outside of the classified sections is not allowed.
The rules for posting classified ads can be found by navigating to the green Forum Rules link at the top of the forum. Then choose "The Dash Classifieds" from the "More Rules" drop-down menu.
At the bottom of the rules, you will find a link to the Discussion Thread where you can discuss the rules for the classifieds and find the latest news regarding those rules. That thread is also a sticky at the top of the Server News section. Please come join us there, as there is a proposed compromise being discussed.
