Privacy settings
I noticed sometimes if you use a search engine like yahoo.com that you sometimes can pull up posts from this forum. Is there a way to adjust your setting keep your posts private so they are not accessible from those types of sites?

If you post in the "public" sections then search engines will pick those up. If you post in the members only sections like Off Topic then the search engines shouldn't pick those up, and even if they do people can't visit without a membership. There is no way to change some privacy setting to make only your posts unsearchable.

If you don't want people to read things you've written, don't post it on the Internet.

Also who the hell still uses Yahoo? Didn't you know all the cool kids are using Altavista these days?

Seriously Ben?

I haven't used Altavista since before Google existed.

Of course I wasn't being serious.

(That being said, I'm making a slow move from Altavista to Google myself. Old habits die hard.)
