ok squirlz. lol. im no where near a mechanic. i can do simple stuff. i didnt even know what a distributor did until yesterday. lol. so i have no idea what a cap and rotor look like. i was told by one of my friends that it may be the cap and rotor. i only tried one plug, i'll different ones today.
heres the full story..
me and steve (bmexicang) installed headers anda downpipe on my car. and it ran fine, but nothing in my interior worked (radio, tach, spedometer, temp gauge, interior lights, brake lights, turn signals). so we assumed that we blew a fuse, and we were like f it, we'll fix it tomorow. so we cruised the beach and then all of the sudden my lights started dimming, and then i tried to gun it and the car just bogged down. it wasnt letting me accelerate at all. so i pulled over and had AAA (triple A) tow it to my house. i woke up the next day and tried to start it. it started, but it bogged down and died. so i took my battery out and got it tested..... and it was dead. i bought a new one, put it in. the car cranked, but didnt start. then my steve said to chek my battery fuse, so i did. and it was blown. so i replaced it ( it was like $30!!! ridiculous) and everything in the interior worked again. so i cranked it and it still wouldnt turn on.
so then i asked my neighbor, who is kind of a mechanic, and he tested the plugs to see if i was getting any spark, and i wasnt. so he suggested something about an ignition switch. and my friend hector suggested the cap and rotor. and steve agreed w/ the cap and rotor suggestion.
so yeah, sorry, i dont know anything about electrical.
