6-speed swap into B15 chassis questions
I've looked through the 6-speed (specv/maxima trans) installs and part lists. But they seem to be for b13/b14/p10/etc.

But,

Since I have a B15 do I need the following.

- Specv front spindles
- Mazworx mount kit

I was thinking that since I have a B15 I can use the factory specv trans mounts/brackets. Is that possible?

So to sum it up.

All I need for a 6-speed swap in my B15,

- Specv/maxima trans
- p12 bell housing
- Mazworx axle bearing mount
- Factory specv trans mount
- Factory specv rear trans bracket/mount
- Specv shifter assy
- Both front specv axles
- 6-speed specific flywheel with matching clutch assy.

Thanks for anyone clearing this up for me!

My thread goes over what is needed for the b15/p11 guys. Re read the thread. You already have the proper hubs, no need to change, You will still need the mount kit as well.

Only thing different you dont have to do is convert to hydraulic, notch the subframe, or swap the hubs. Everything else listed in that thread applies to the b15.

Might be different for you i don't know, but when i did my swap the subframe had to be notched out, and also i had to swap my spec-v axle outers to 1.8's... but like i said might be different for you. I did an sr20det with 6spd tranny into 04 1.8s auto

Umm im pretty sure all b15's have the same subframe and hubs as far as axle sizes.

Unless its a difference in the auto vs manual. But that wouldnt make any logical sense. From the part numbers ive found, all b15 hubs are the same, didnt matter 1.8 or 2.5

Pretty sure specv hubs are different than other non-specv hubs.

Hmm, thats odd being the part numbers I found said good for both 1.8 and 2.5L models. Ugh. More information I will have to change.

Also the 2.0 SE might have smaller spindles, I will measure mine when I remove tires tomorrow.
