Hesitation and suddenly dying Roller Rocker
This is my friend's ride, a B15 and he's having an issue since he installed an eBay POS Cold Air Intake

I am a noob in Roller Rocker engines but I can tell is a vacuum related issue.

Here's the thing, he cranks and start ok and after 15-20 seconds car hesitates a lil bit and then dies, he performed the install of the intake and I double checked it, I found the tranny breather hose attached to one of the power steering bulb (I don't know exactly what it is), once I unplugged them some pressure was relieved, I thought that was the issue.

I told him to connect that hose (the one from power steering) to the intake pipe and the problem would be solved but no, he did it and car does the same thing.

IIRC Vadim once wrote something about that power steering bulb while he was doind the VE swap but I can't find it.

Does any of you have gone thru something like this?

Thnx

One of the nipples on the stock intake tubing goes to the power steering vacuum sensor on the hose. Other side goes to the intake manifold, I looped it into itself though. I can see why unplugging one end would cause an intake manifold leak!

But why would still dying even when attaching the hose to the aftermarket intake pipe?

Weird that trans hose was connected to the power steering anything...

What kind of intake did he put on, B15's don't need a big 3/8" nipple on the CAI for the IACV. Where was that one connected if he purchased a non RR intake?
