Help Installing LED Strips Link to opening door, dome light
I have a Nissan Sentra 2010 S.

I want to wire LEDs in my car so that when the door opens, the led will turn on, and when the door closes or when the dome light turns off the LEDs will turn off.
I have found the dome light wires I believe and they are located in the Pillar of the driver side. The wires that I see are Red/ Yellowish stripe wire, solid red wire, purple or bluish wire, black wire (which is the ground wire), White/ Red stripe wire, and Solid Green Wire.

Here is the .PDF that someone said may help:

I want to know which wires I can tap into that will allow me to have the lights come on when they should and turn off when the door closes.

Hopefully i have the right wires..... Please help! Anyone!! PLEASEEEE

look for the wires that come out of the little switch that activates the dome light..also lets you know if the door is open..in the b14 drivers door its in the bottom corner of the door area..on the bottom of the b pillar..

probably around the same place on more cars..

Confused.. but yes im going to have to take the dome light out to see which wires are actually attached to it.. not sure what you mean by b14.. but this picture of the wires is the pillar on the driver side between the front driver door and the back driver side passenger door. Took the bottom pillar off from the driver side foot well but the wires were all tied up with electric tape and when exposed were mostly the same..

look for the little switch in the doorjamb that actually triggers the dome light..those would be the wires you would need to concentrate on..and b14 is a chassis code..for the 95-99 sentras and the 95-98 200sx's..for instance..you drive a b16..

Technically its not a b16, a b16 is a honda. The new sentra is build on the C platform, not the b. Alot of nissan guys are calling it a b16, but nissan does not recognize it as that. When i came in talking about a b16 mike my parts guy let me know i was wrong, its a c-something. And dont beleive wikipedia lol. If i remember the versa is made on the b platform still, but the sentra was moved up to make it a bit bigger.

Take a look at the the wiring diagrams in the service manual, pages 93-97. If the wiring is like my subaru, the door ajar signal wire is grounded when a door is open, so you would need a relay to turn on the lights
