Your thoughts, reason and how you become owner of the B14 SE, SE-L
hey guys, just share some thoughts about your ownership experience(s) with the SE, SE-L. How did you end up purchasing it?

Had a 200sx base, was looking for an SE-R but found an SE-L. I love it, being able to load 4 people in the car without having to move your seat and constantly readjust the seat is fun

My thought was same with same problem. I had the 200sx SER last August. Drove my daughter to school, damn the front seat. Had to move just to get her out. I miss the 2dr quite a bit, so I found my SE "Goldie" on craigslist. It was Ice/winter storm, so no one came out to look at it. I was "stupid and nuts" enough to get into the wife SUV and drove to test drove it.

I was looking for a SE-R locally which was difficult. They are hard to find in Albuquerque.

One day I drove by a used car lot and I caught a glimpse out of the corner of my eye of a Sierra Pine B14 Sentra. I said to myself, "I bet that car has a SR20 in it..." I immediately made a U-turn to check it out. Sure enough it was a 98 5 spd Sentra SE with about 67,000 miles on it. The guy gave me $500 for my POS beater Altima and about an hour later I drove away in my 1st SR20 powered vehicle.

I have no regrets whatsoever. The car is super reliable. It's never left me stranded once.

Sometimes, after drooling over some of the super clean SE-R's and G20's on this forum I wish I had something else, but then I just wash my car or do a modification and fall in love with it all over again.

Hahaha! Can you tell I just gave her a good washing today? Poor thing. I need to give her some more TLC. I've been neglecting her. LOL!

My friend let me borrow his 98 SE when I had transmission troubles with the G20. He didn't really drive the car, he's more of a b13 guy. So I bought it.

Although my B14 isn't an SE/SE-L, it is 4-door and is now SR powered.

I actually came upon my B14 while at my previous job. I had been looking for a 4-door b-13 5-speed with power windows and locks for a while. Believe it or not, I was actually gonna use my '93 SE-R as a donor car and make a 4-door B13 SE-R. I was just getting tired of my SE-R, it's ugly, needs a bunch of body work, and, being red, gets me into too much trouble... I did come across a B13 GXE that was everything that I wanted and had 468,000 miles on it, but had cancer.

But after months of no luck, my B14 came rolling into work. As soon as I saw it I ran out to look at it. http://www.sr20-forum.com/members-rides/14967-salvaged-b14.html It was dirty in and out, especially in, had a blown engine, and only 90,000 miles on it. I had never really been too fond of the B14's, but I knew that I had to have it. I ran back inside and told my manager to consider it sold cuz I was buying it. I got the car for a whopping $600. Since I've had it I've put new interior in it, changed over almost everything to SE/SE-L. It's now no longer GA16 powered, but houses a peppy SR20VE.

Owning this car allows me to keep my classic and still have a fun, quick, and reliable daily driver. The 4 doors mean that it's a lot easier for me to get my kids in and out of my car, plus it's a total stealth Honda assassin, lol. I can't wait to run up on a Honda V-TEC guy and watch his face as the cams engage and I leave his ass.

And I'm with Tommy, too. Sometimes I wish that I have something else, but all I have to do is just walk outside, stare, and remember how much I love my Sentra. I wouldn't have put all of the time and money into it if I didn't have so much love for the B chassis.

Good God, I've owner every color B13 known to man since 1994. My dad it right off the spot as a show car at the Texas State Fair. lol.. it even have pinstripes on them. One NX just to see how it felt, but also sold it to my office manager's dad after he totaled his Civic Si. He loved the hatchback version. I had two B14s before married. One auto for her and one manual for me. Two G20s, which I found it to be more family like. Sold them, no parking space. Heck, in the last two years, I must have gone through 4-5 sr powered vehicles.

still looking for a silver P11...I need to get rid of my BMW 325i, this damn thing has no dipstick or temperature gauge. I did not know until I picked it up in Frankfurt. Damn 50K paper weight in my garage.

Any first impression of the 4 doors when you guys drove it home??
