Thread: Need a little suggestion guys on clutch cable adjustment

My pedal was quite hard, so I test drove my old 200sx I sold to a patient a year ago. The clutch pedal was responsive and light, I thought, damn, I wish my SE was the same.

so I adjust the cable, but the lock nut and the bottle cap nut turn with each other. How do I held down one and turn the lock nut.??

a 10mm on the nut and either hold the star shapped one or use some vise grips or channel locks. if they still dont budge i would recommend replacing the cable.

well, Ive loosen it enough for the pedal to soften up...but it is not lock down with the nut...wonder if OK to drive.

There is a square section at the beginning of the threaded rod you can get needle nose vise grips on too if you can't get anything on the bottle cap thing.
