Just took a spin in my friend's b15 - bone stock.

My wife's b15 is an auto - bone stock

there is no comparasin. Her b15 bogs in 2nd, you have to feather the gas to get any power, it's a pain in the ass car. WHY? I understand it'll be a bit slower than the 5 speed, but this was STUPID the difference.

change the trans fluid. good ol cheap dex/merc III. it makes a hell of a difference. throw in some trans treatment (i use a 16oz can of transx) and it goes away. it took me awhile to figure that one out as i would floor it from a stop and get the stupid bog as well in 1st and 2nd. it was a reason i drove around with o/d off until i got to 40mph...

Pssshhh, with a SE auto, you should manual shift the car. That's what I always did, plus that's why transgo makes a few goodies for it...

It's got a brand new fluid change in it - I'm suprised it's still bad - but I'll toss in that tranny treatment, hoping for the best.

^^^you will be suprised. i kinda dumped it in to see what happens with it since i was going to flush it anyway( i do every oil change for 12 bucks why not) and magically it worked. no more bog.

Clean your intake mani with some carb cleaner and check your timing.

My Auto 00 B15 wasn't that bad at all, but it is an auto 4 banger so it's not a lot.

They aren't horrible considering it's a 4 speed. 2nd geat in an Auto SE pulls up to 70ish if I recall.
