What did this connector go to?

Reassembling things on the '91, the above connector doesn't seem to mate with anything that I still have installed, and I can't spot where it went. It is at the end of one of the harnesses, just past the water temp sensor.

I just did my ve swap i and recognize that connection mine is a 93 not sure if its the same as far as connections but that should go with the connection with the one at the end of the injector harness on cylinder 1 there you should find the other end
Thats where mine was

Interesting. So one harness essentially is plugging into the other? The injector harness connections are all still inside the car where I pulled that cable back to, I should be bringing that back into the engine bay tonight and will see what it matches up with.

Thanks!

Yes...all the harnesses eventually plug in to each other and meet at the ECU. Cmon Jim...what's your real question?

Well, on this one, there is one wire bundle coming out of the ECU going to the engine via the driver's side of the car, and another bundle off that same connector going to the engine via the passenger side of the car. I see no good reason why these two bundles ultimately have to plug into each other up front, unless these are ground lines and are being tied together to complete some shielding in these bundles. But if that were the case, then why not just have each end ground to some common point on the engine instead?

This will make more sense once I get that other harness out and see where things go tonight.

Yeah, totally agree.

Ok, time for round 2! Got two more connectors on the drivers side near the battery. Not matching up to anything yet. Anyone have a clue on these?

3 pin could possibly be ignitor and 2 pin coil

Nope, not ignition related. I've got those connections taken care of.
