Thread: have my eyes on a 93 4 door to switch it up need advice,New York City inspection

I plan on getting this 93 4 door from a friend. my question is if I was to put a sr20det and no issue passing inspection .would it make a difference if computer and harness was from a 91? or better off?what I want to do is use a jdm det ecu instead of going
jwt route....do you know if this would affect inspection for new York city?i would find a ser but new York insurance wants a arm and a leg for our cars.(have a 96 se r paying 220 for minimum liability with a clean record!!!!!)over 25. anybody has any info on this id really appreciate it.thanks in advance

In NY it doesn't matter because the car is pre-96..so the motor and computer can be whatever year you want them to be..and FYI..I have an 18 page driving record..I'm 26..and I have full coverage on my 98 Sentra and comprehensive only on my 06 Maxima (not on the road at the moment) and I pay 240 a month..just sayin..

I wonder why I'm payin b so much for? I have a clean record .and for years I always had to pay a lot.started to increase from 170 now at 220.liability...only thing they keep on saying that it's red and se r model.

Also, does anybody know why our old Cars are so much to insure?

Red doesn't help, and it's partially because there's a lot of sentras out there and a lot of them out there means higher chance of once getting in an accident
