Why can't they have the OEM style in the blacked out version? I agree with Louis. I have a set of the blacked out tsuru's. I haven't installed them yet, but the OEM tsuru's look a lot better. Blacked out looks so sick on the red B13's though.

^True stealth mode, but I think the clear ones look just as good on black.

I haven't but their link pops up quite a bit in "Where do I get cheap AGX" threads for awhile now. You know there is a pretty talented head/tail light specialist in your area. HO-E.M.

Plus the corners marginally snap into the headlight assy. They pop out all the time.

None of the tolerances were tight. And the set screw things would back out if you tried to unbolt the bolts!

A lot of people don't mind any of these problems as 'you get what you pay for,' but Rob, I would try and get more opinions on quality or check out an installed set in real life, if you can. You might be a little pickier, like me.

OEM or bust! Then get some of that film everyone uses.

I am picky as hell. So if the fitment is not decent I rather go OEM.

I will look into this a bit more.

Buy the OEM Hella. The smoked ones, and Depo ones are crap, you won´t be able to align them properly never.
I can get you the complete front set, plus the older style grill.
Grilles are available OEM in gray for 40 bucks or aftermarket in black for 12. the aftermarket grill fits fine.

I've had the OEM ones, and they are absolutely worth the difference in price.

^I keep hearing this. This makes me want to put the blacked ones on my daily and get the OEM for my real project.

This is fact. We have a car shop here, specialized in Nissans. We maintain a fleet of 400 Tsuru taxicabs. Many of the drivers buy the Depo stuff when they crash their cabs, and they eventually end up buying the OEM ones from us.

^wow...........I wonder who can black out the OEM ones to look smoke? I have a lexus guy that had his lights sent off and they came back like new. I'll have to get with him about this. Again blacked out on a red SE-R is the HOTTN'est'

Those came with the autocross car I bought, but I had a set when they first became available to us. So yeah, I guess I've had 2 sets of OEM and installed 1 set of Depo.

I cracked open my first set and painted the housings black. Other than the ulcers I got from painting $300 headlights and being afraid of melting them in my oven, it was worth it.

Eventually I melted the driving lights by trying out foglights in that spot.

Hiro has them on his turbo B13 now.
