Thread: De swap will not start

I swapped engines in me 93 se-r. I'm to the point where I can test run the engine. When I try to start the engine I just hear the fuel pump prime and the starter relay click, but it doesn't turnover. I checked to make sure every thing was hooked up, and the battery is charged. The starter worked before the swap. Does anyone have any ideas on what I should check next?
I'm going to check the starter wires with my meter on sunday.

Did you try putting the key to the on position and just jumping the starter relay? It maybe that the relay is bad or the wire is disconnected somewhere. Most likely it will spin the starter when you jump it and its just a disconnect somewhere.

I got it started. It was a simple fix. the plastic bumper that presses in the clutch switch was missing. The switch was just going through the hole! haha. The engine runs great. I just need to finish putting it together so I can take it for a drive now.
