power windows question
i want to put power windows in my seR. i did a bit of research and pretty much found out that i can use the 4door regulators, motors, and the tracks. now is their anything i should know before getting involoved with this? anything i should expect to run into or is it pretty much a direct swap? any full write-ups on it with detailed pictures? anything will help. thanks guys!

Hey there,

Like I said in our PM conversation (since you're getting my regulators/motors/switches), since you don't have the electrical harness (since your car didn't have power locks or windows), there's two ways you can do this. You can wire it to a 12v power source, either the battery or the switched 12v line in the ignition (the same line that turns the radio on and off or your amp on and off with the ignition key). Make sure this line has proper fuses and what not as well.

Simply wire up the switches and motors to the 12v line of choice (battery = operable with or without key, ignition = operable only with key in ignition and turned to ON), swap out the old tracks/regulators/cranks for the new ones (they bolt right in place) and voila, power windows.
