jus dropped in my avenir w/ b15 in a 91 ser. anyone by chance have part nmbrs for the speedometer and clutch cable that i will need to make it work? will new speedo cable work with old head unit?

ive read that! this will be my first fwd car ever, so i have no clue what im in for. ive owned 3 subies since i been driving. from a 88 loyale, 99 impreza, to a 07 sti. all gone now, and this car is my daily, but hoping to have some fun wit it. swap has been a pain, lot of searching and reading, but almost done. i still have the b13 trans, but has 5th pop out. im looking for longevity why i bought the b15. can always fall back on original if need b...

The B15 trans has short gears,so its better for NA.
Maybe you can find someone to trade your B15 for a 01+ P11(G20) LSD trans.It will have the strength of the B15 trans and longer gears for boost.

I have a spare B13 trans here I can sell also if you want for temporary until you find a P11.PM if you are interested .
I am a little north of Orlando area,so maybe you are not too far from me.
You should be able to sell the B15 pretty easy.

cool. im in winter haven, so not far at all. before the swap i was running my b13 with no 5th gear, so if i have to, i still can. the b15 is brand new too my fault should have done more research. but thanks for the info. is it even worth it to run out how it is now? how much for a new p11 (guestimate)? ill start searching....

I assume you mean new to you,lol.How much did you pay for the B15 trans??
B15 usually sell for around 800,P11 seem to get 900-1000 for a clean used one.

you can still run the B15 but 5th will be revving higher on the highway,and you will probably have traction issues in 1-3rd gears.
The P11 longer gears will just keep you in boost longer,and have a lower rev on the highway(gas mileage).

guess ill def need p11 then. perfect timing too, cuz i wanted in on the hyperco group buy thats almost full up.... this was my bro's project that he gave up on then moved to costa rica few years back lol. not sure where or how much, but i took it out the crate brand spanking new. would have to sell b15 to pay for p11, or like u say trade. but new b15 for used p11? that sucks

AND, i jus (today) took everything out again to fix clutch arm i screwed up nd forgot first time. nd it Still has to come out again. pain in my a$$ lol
