Lights come on With ignition?
When I put my key in the car and start it, with my headlight switch turned to the OFF position. My gauge cluster lights and my HVAC lights turn on...

This obviously shouldn't be.

Any suggestions on fixing this problem? I don't need my cluster and my HVAC on when it's daytime.. lol

Thanks in advance!

Check the wiring. Sounds like some wires are touching..

Heres a odd one, check your brake bulbs, see if you have a blown bulb. Or any blown bulbs on the car for that matter.

Do the headlights come on too? DO any of the lights ever go off if you fiddle with anything?

I would start looking around the steering column for any wires that are squished up or cut, maybe even partially cut through the insulation.

You will have to take off the plastic shield around the steering column first, of course. The screw heads are on the bottom, you'll need a fairly long and skinny #1 Phillips screwdriver.

Thanks a lot guys. I've inspected the car and all the bulbs are fine.

I will say I had to rig up my right hand tail light assembly, one of the bulb sockets broke so I just soldered the bulb onto the contact to fix my problem until I can get a new assembly for the tail light.

Maybe this is the problem.

I'll check for wires unter the steering column tommoro.
