I really like the look of these wheels. According to this reference, the 15X7 weights 16 pounds.

Thanks a lot bro! You always have good info!

Why are so many people hooked on the AGX's? I'm not looking for anything AMAZING first off. Just a upgrade in ride quality really.

Yeah I forgot the XXR 513's come in 15x8 and 15x7, 16 pounds.. Is that a little much, or would these wheels be okay to purchase. The ones in the pic are the identical color I'm getting.

Basically these are Rota RB knockoffs at half the price with a much bigger lip on them. They are sick old school.

Because they are the cheapest strut that can handle the higher spring rates of the Hyperco and RoadMagnet springs. OEM struts won't last long with stiffer springs. They are also adjustable which is appealing. They get the job done for the money.

Depending on what you mean by that, you might want to stick with OEM stuff. OEM has a great ride quality. Stiffer springs and such give more control and harshness. Is that what you call ride quality?

At 16 lbs. they are basically a middle of the road wheel when it comes to mass. They won't be super light and insane performance, but they will be fine. However almost no one has run them on our cars yet because they have an offset not suited for our car's bodywork at all.

Hahahahahaha, the face palms... lol

That made my morning pretty hilarious.

So there is a 0mm offset in the 15x8's.
and a 15mm offset in the 15x7's..

noob confusion...

The AGXs are cheaper and easier to install than the Konis. The AGXs are a complete replacement strut. But the Konis are just an insert that goes in the OEM strut housing after you cut off the top of it with a pipe cutter. There is a way, to add an inch of travel using the Koni if you drop the bottom of the strut insert through the bottom of the strut housing. I know that this probably does not make much sense and is hard to visualize, but there are lots of posts on the forums documenting how this can be done.

Also, AGXs are externally adjustable whereas the Konis are generally not -- you have to remove the strut, remove the spring, and compress the strut all the way to change the setting.

So, it's a choice that you can consider -- the Konis cost more and are more challenging to install, but if you are willing to spend the money and figure out how to do the install, the ride is better -- less choppy and more compliant without giving up anything on the performance side. It just depends on what your priorities are.

Yah. Endlessly useless for our chassis.

Slightly better, but still about 10mm too much. You need about a +25mm offset at the minimum.

So for the 15x7's with the 15mm offset.. 10mm spacers? or is that just retarted?

10mm spacers would get you to a +5mm offset. That's the wrong direction. You need to take 10mm of material off the wheel to get to a +25mm offset. (Which isn't going to happen without ruining the structural integrity of the wheel hub).

There are other, better wheels that look similar to the XXR 513 wheels that actually fit our cars. However, they are more expensive.

Damn man, so are these wheels pretty much out of the question for me?
