NX2K brake upgrade, feels kinda bad??
Just did the brake upgrade the other day. I got Axxis MM pads and slotted and dimpled rotors from Fastbrakes.

Did the install, Not too bad, had to shave the caliper down a tad cause im running oem SER 14''s. cut away the nece3ssary dust shield so it would get in the way. Bled em yada yada and i waent out for a test drive.

Broke them in normally just drove around casually, no hard stops. drove around for about 15-20 min. Then attempted to do my first hard stop which is when my steering wheel started shaking. Kind of like it does when your rotors are warped. But my rotors are brand spankin new! WTF? I have driven around a few days since to see if maybe it would somehow go away. But it hasnt.

The car stops like mad right now but vibrates all to hell. Any ideas on whats going on?

PS: Brakes are squeaky too. Is that just a Axxis MM thing or what?

Did you re-use the brake pad shims?

I had no shims. So no Im not running any shims. As for the Pad retaining clip things ( that hold the pad in) I did reuse those. Should i have not?

I would inspect the hubs and make sure they are clean of rust . Some times the old rotors fuse to the hubs leaving rust and cousing the new rotor not to sit flush against the hub . Also there is a possibility the new rotors were not stored properly and caused them to warp like not stacking them flat in the wharehoue . You could have a local shop check the runout on the new rotors with a dial indicator for you to be sure .

$20 says your hubs have a crap load of rust build up on them. the nice new flat rotors are sitting untrue on your hub because of the rust. or your over heated the rotors during your break in.
