I was out at VIR last weekend doing timing and scoring for the formula FSE competition for enginering students across the country and here are some pics of the competition and some pics and vid of everything else going on at the track
first the FSE cars

then the pits

and the only racing I got to do

no actually that is the vw tdi cup cars and there are about 20-30 cars that vw puts together identicly and travels the country with them and the racers just get in and race. it is actually pretty cool to see them run b/c they were it tight packs and all driver skill to see who wins.

dam to bad we didnt kow this earlyer. i was there also im the crew chief for the skipbarber race series. those gokarts are the **** there arent they? my buddy randy works on that brumos team. they were doing good untill the tranny blew...weaksauce. VW put on a pritty good show the were stationed right next to us. unfortunately there budget is a little bit bigger than ours so we looked kind of crappy compaired to them then again it was there opener so they hade to go balls deep. as for the ariel atom's, the reason they were there is because VIR is going to be a main base for them to be built and sold out of, thats going to be pritty radd. sense limrock is baisicly over and im stuck in watkins glen doing a race are any of you going to be at mosport or thunderbolt nj?

nice... i think that all of our nationals are going to bee with are going to be with the grand am races. how do you like working on a team...ive been thinking about going to TRG or to speed source those rx8's are badass. ive been at skip way to long.

i like it alot. were a small fish in a big pond but it doesnt really bother me, just my boss. haha i get paid the same no matter the out come.
