Thread: Finally some progress on our B13 Race car project...

After having the poor thing sit in storage for 3 years, we finally are getting somewhere (lost our storage spot so that helped make the decision for us!)

Still have a long way to go since it is just a rolling shell at the moment but the interior cage is finally getting painted!






For anyone curious, it is being built/set up for PTE with NASA Midwest Region (MIGHT be seen at a Great Lakes event or 2 as well).

Keeping fingers crossed that we can make at least a few events with it this season!

The progress is slow... trying to sort out the steering rack situation (to go power steering or not basically) before reinstalling the harness and engine now....

^ Unfortunately the new goal is completion for 2012 season at this point because we keep having to work on other stuff to fix/repair etc.

....still hoping to run at least 1 or 2 events this year though so stay tuned!!!!!!!

okay.. it's been a really long time since I updated this thread (and long time since staring work on the car again) BUT there is some progress (however small there is some!)

NEW goal is to have it ready either for the June NASA Grattan event or at least by August Centra NASA Region event at MAM so it MIGHT even run at NASA Nationals (maybe, but that is still a big maybe!)

So what did get done?

Okay... remember, I said it is small!

BUT there was a small bar added to the cage for extra support (can you tell the horrible weld splooges of someone who doesn't normally weld? haha) and 2nd is welding in the attachments for the window net!
