Tire storage for winter?
I was not sure where to post this but I knew someone would know in this section. I've heard of people storing their slicks or racing tires in a warm dry place during the winter. I have a set of hankook rs-2 tires in my storage unit which is not heated. Will it be ok to leave them there or should I bring them into the house? I know its been cold the past month but better late then never.

This advisory came with the last set of Nittos I orderded. I always stow them away in large black trash bags away from any heat source or direct sunlight.

We store ours wrapped in industrial cling wrap in a cool dry place, i think its more high temps that effect them than cold, something about the aromatic's coming out of the tyres causing them to "go off" prematurely

I have my Toyo R888 in basement. Keeping them in place over 32°F (0°C).

^ Yeah that's the way. You have to keep them above freezing. Once any kind of summer or non-all season tire freeze they will never be as sticky

The biggest thing is to try to keep them at a constant temperature above freezing with decent humidity.
