Road Course @ Raceway Park (Englishtown NJ)
Has anyone been there yet. They have a bunch of HDPE type events coming up and I might go to one. What I did not see on their website was any SCCA or NASA sponsored events there though. Is there is something up with the track not being regulation for these clubs or something? I can't understand the popular organizations wouldn't be all over a new track. Englishtown has been having sound regulation issues with the surrounding neighborhoods for years now and that might have something to do with it. Anyone have any more info about the new roadcourse?

I don't know anything, but a quick glance at the website for it makes me think of a few possible issues. A: it's small, at 1.3 miles that severly limits car counts (SCCA ((and possibly NASA)) have a limit on the number of cars allowed on track per mile of track). B: I can see a number of places where opposing sections of track look dangerously close together. C: the noise issue you mentioned is also a possibility.

On top of all of that, I've heard from people in the know that alot of clubs are cutting back their schedules this year, some by 30%.
