What was up with the civic hatch? That would annoy the hell out of me.

I don't see what you're talking about.


What caused the red? Was it the incedent right before s/f? How was the restart handled?

I was talking about before the start, that whole warming up tires or I'm ready swerving stuff.

Then, how he almost ran into the Bimmer when it did start. Who knows what else after all that...

If you have a really loose set up in a FWD car you *must* get heat into the rear tires before the start or the car can be a real handful. I have to do this in the NX on my out lap just to keep the tail in line when I get up to full speed.

It looks like he went for a gap that closed, he did have the awarness to not hit the BMW as he got a run on the CRX in front of him. That's just how a start works! He did make contact with the CRX a short while later, but that looks like a racing incedent to me.

plenty of other spec miatas do that 'srubbing' but I just never saw the value in it... I stick just as well after that 1st lap so all good from my perspective (in my RWD miata that is)
