theres a pretty big discussion about it at: http://www.sr20-forum.com/tuning/24693-whats-wrong-nistune.html

but basicly you cant just swap between bins like you can with calum.. you either have to buy this chip reprogrammer thing or send it in an have the bin changed.. Nistune runs off ent files.. now you can load those as you want.. those are basicly just fuel/timing/vq maps an such.. and matt will usualy convert the file for you..

IMO the Calum RTV2 has some advantages on nistune.. but good luck gettin one! and i think in time nistune will expand just like calum..

ok so lynch, your refering to the bin as a base tune ? then you can jump on a dyno and fine tune it ? a/f ? timing ? etc ??

heres some screen shots I took

as far as tuning goes its just like tuning a calum basic w/ tunerpro or whatever, except its nistune.. an the software is really user friendly! plus they're always fixing any bugs that may come up ect.. and adding new functions..

note: i took those while the car was running / driving.. the grey boxes are the live map trace feature showing what cells im accessing..

Try to connect your wideband, make a trace and use the AFR grapher is amazing.

well kinda... they're Similar..

i think the biggest difference between the calum ecu's an the nistune is the Nistune you can get anytime you want..

I will jump in and sing the praises of NIStune and Autovaughn Performance. So far everything has been great. With USPS Priority, my spare ECU was only gone for about a week, with shipping. In the next few weeks the car will get tuned, and I can review the tuning side more thoroughly. But from what I have seen of the software up to this point, it looks great.
