Thread: Spark Plug Cover from OEM

Overkill Engineering Motorsports brings us one of the first official professionally made spark plug covers! The plug cover comes with everything that you will need to install it and use it out of the box. It is available for High Port/Low Port and VE/Roller Rocker valve covers.

The plug cover is made out of pretty thick aluminum that is professionally cut and looks very well made.






The plug cover should perfectly fit with NGK spark plug wires, but unfortunately the stock plug wires will require minimal modifications to allow it to fit on.

First you will need to remove the plastic pieces that hold the wires from cylinder 1 and 2.









You will need to remove center valve cover bolt.

Note for Lowport/Highport owners:
If you are using the stock wires, you can leave the grommet because the stock wires wont let the cover sit flush against the valve cover. If you are using NGK wires then you may need to remove the grommet to allow for better flush fitment.

After you have installed and tightened the screw you should be all set.


After shaved letters on the VC:





Once again the stock plugs sit a little too high so you will have the cover sticking out a bit. If you have a RR or VE valve cover with stock wires, this should fit perfectly because VE/RR valve covers are taller.



Fitment with NGK wires:

That sucks its not flush for you. You should get the NGK wires.

Hehe I am considering it. Thing is I just bought these so I will just live with it for a while. Depends on how long the NGK plugs last compared to the OEM ones hehe
