Can't buy a B-chassis with good audio, it seems...
As the title says, EVERY single B-chassis I've bought (6, so far) has had crappily installed stereos, speakers, or wiring. Sometimes, all 3... I was just working on my Spec V, because my driver front speaker went out and I found this:

Easily one of the laziest installs I've seen. The connectors had wires wrapped around it and shoved into the speaker harness connector. I replaced it and the passenger side and all is good with the musical world.

However, this is a NX post...

This incident reminded me to post up my NX's speaker job:

If you can tell, those are speakers in a bracket made of 3/4" of wood drilled right into the door. I was a little surprised, because the rest of the audio systems was amazing: all the wiring was meticulously connected and routed throughout the car, with a really nice kenwood head-unit, and subs and what not. I sold all that stuff, though; you only really need 4 decent speakers for rock haha.

So, I ended up replacing them with a random set of speaker cowls I had in my garage:

They fit perfectly, and I've since gotten speakers that fill it out better. I'm pretty sure I got them from an NX in the junkyard, but none of my NX's have had them. So, my question, are these from an NX or Sentra? If not, what then? I'd like to pick up another set sometime for spares.

Thanks for listening to my (maybe, probably) pointless rant/thread, guys

Weird. Did they only come in 2000s, because I've had 2 1600s that never had them...

I might give you a shout for them once the semester ends and I start actually making money again.

I put a set of 6 x 9s in my '94 LE like 10 years ago, they really kicked ass. Could finally hear music. But had to cut the whole deck up

For a minute there I thought you put them up front, that would have been a good show haha. I ran across an NX guy in Oklahoma who installed two 6x9s in the parcel shelf, because he couldn't fit them in the rear speaker slots. It sounded about the same as my 2 4x6 and 2 6.5s, which have plenty of bass and are plenty loud.

I pretty much only listen to rock/metal, so I never really feel like a full system is necessary. Unless I'm listening to electronica, then I could use a bit more bass lol.
