Gas fumes inside the car
Been smelling gas inside the car since I got it a couple months ago. It's driving me crazy and I would like to fix it. What is the most common cause of this?

Leaky exhaust? Had a similar problem, when I had to attach the header with 2 nuts less (had to cut them due to being stuck).

have you opened your gas tank cover recently? Could be the gasket on that. I've also stepped in gas at the gas station and it transferred to my mat before. It sucked and smelled for like a week.

bad gas cap will also allow fuel smell to escape

Even inside the car? When I open it up I can hear the air escaping out seems like its sealing.

Thirded. This will cause exactly the problem you're having.

- So is it the fuel pump gasket, or the fuel tank lock ring? I think I need one. I just looked up the name on RockAuto.
