Changing bulbs on NX foglamps
I tried searching but nobody has really brought up this topic. How do you get to the bulb on the NX fog lamps?

I have a set already off the mounting brackets but I don't see where you can access the bulb. I'm sure this is simple. Any knowledge is appreciated. Thanks.

I think you need to remove the complete lamp-unit.

4 10 mm Phillips head screws at each corner. However, if they are seized they will not come off.

jamanrr is correct. I managed to open up one of my fog lamps today. THere are 4 screws that hold the rear cover in place. You take that rear cover off then you get access to the bulb area.

These screws are very easy to strip. I haven't stripped mine yet but two screws are being stubborn. I soaked them with a penetrant and will try again to loosen them.

Well one is out and one is starting to strip :-(. Im gonna try the grinding compound trick.

I managed to get 7 of those 8 screws off. Almost had the victory, lol.

Boomstick do you have another car you can test them on? I tested my two sets and two of the four actually still worked. I tested them using my b13 SE-R. I flick the switch on my NX and nothing happens, so I"m going to have to solve that problem as well.

Nissan was really, really stupid when they decided to use those damn screws. I ended up having to search like hell for a whole new unit because of them. Its really hard to keep the lamp steady if you need to drill out one of those screws too. Had my wife try and hold one down and it ended up getting away from her as I was drilling and went flying and broke:P
