A/C help? Calling all air conditioning specialists, gurus, and/or just anyone =)
So I've been trying to fix my a/c system on my NX for the past week or so.

The problem is that the a/c button doesn't light up nor turn on the a/c clutch.

-I've already changed most of the o-rings, replaced the a/c receiver/dryer, vacuumed the system, pressure tested the system (hi/low ports after putting r134a fittings), changed the temperature switch on the a/c compressor and switch/relay on the receiver/dryer, checked the a/c fuse (good), replaced the blue a/c relay switch near the car battery with a known working one, then recharged the system with oil and refridgerant

What else could be the possible cause? Are there any other electrical stuff I'm forgetting besides the a/c climate control unit itself?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Will probably head to the junkyard in day or so to pick up some other things. Thanks

btw, i've also wired a switch to engage the a/c clutch. When I turn the switch on to engage the a/c compressor, it blows cold air (meaning the a/c system works?). However, I don't leave the a/c clutch engaged since I don't want to cause any damage to the compressor which appears to be working fine (no rattle/noises/etc)

sounds like the pressure switch might not be working. just a guess

I mean it could be as simple as a bad A/C switch in the dash, right? If you push the button in, there should be nothing stopping the light from coming on and a signal being sent to the compressor clutch. I'd be hunting down the reason that switch isn't working or the light isn't coming on. I'd be looking for a disconnection somewhere after testing the switch itself.

I changed the pressure switch (the one on the dryer/receiver that is) with another one.

I'll try to hunt down the reason why the a/c button isn't turning on. I wanted to put off replacing the a/c button and/or climate control unit as the last resort since that tends to bit a more pricey. I'll try to look for any other sensors/relays/switches/bad connections and update when I have time.

Thanks for all the suggestions/input.

If you need another button they are cheap and plentiful when used. I have one just sitting if you want it and can't find one.

I will be heading over to the junkyard in hopes of finding one in the next day or so but in a worse case scenario how much would you like for it? I would greatly appreciate it

The button I'm looking for should like this (it's upside down in the picture since the light is on the right):

That's the one, I am not sure how to get the thing out of the panel it's housed in but $10 shipped?
