Bad vibration
I'm feeling a lot of vibration in the gas pedal, shifter and steering wheel on my NX. It feels as if the motor wants to fall out sometimes. I know that 2 of the holes for the crossmember are stripped at the top. I've checked and tightened every other bolt having to do with the mounts and tranny. Could the 2 stripped holes cause all the vibration? The car feels so much slower now too. Does anyone know what size tap to use? I need to make a 2 hour drive on Sunday and would like to get this situated by then.

this should be posted in the general section.

The stripped xmember bolts are probably your issue, if not your motor mounts also, it sounds like they are shot.

The mounts are prothanes besides the tranny mount which is place racing. But they all look fine.

does the engine actually "move"? if it does it`s prolly the X-member...does it make any funny noises other than the vibration?

It was the crossmember. I took care of it.
